5 Ways to Earn Salimpour School CECs At Home

Sometimes we hear from students that they’re worried about keeping their certification current and earning their required continuing education credits (CECs).

There are many ways to earn CECs, both in person and online.

Now with the Suhaila Salimpour Institute of Online Education and our licensed instructors teaching live and virtual classes, there are many opportunities to stay current, progress and maintain your technique, and earn your CECs.

Why do we require CECs anyway?

The Salimpour School offers a full educational program in belly dance. Like dance itself, the program is constantly growing and evolving to meet the needs of our students and to stay current in our field.

We never want our students to feel stuck or stagnant, which is why we’re constantly evaluating our program, adding materials, and adjusting our curriculum to give you the best education we can.

It’s so important that you keep connected with the school so that you can stay current with what we’re creating for you, but also so that you can keep your training fresh and inspired.

So here are 5 ways to earn CECs right now… or at least in the very near future!

1. Suhaila Salimpour Institute of Online Education (CECs vary)

From Level 100 Fundamentals courses to advanced instructor training, there is a course in the Suhaila Salimpour Institute of Online Education for you!

Our sessions are all online, and all courses except Level 100 (Suhaila and Jamila Level 1) are 12-weeks long.

You’ll work directly with Suhaila and peer leaders (high-level dancers in the school) to receive personal feedback on drills and choreography. You’ll also receive weekly readings, online classes to take, and special “circle times” with current students.

After nearly a year of running these courses, we’re convinced that they work! We’re so excited to see students improve by leaps and bounds, getting stronger, more confident, and poised to become leaders in their own communities.

CECs depend on course length and material.

2. Private coaching sessions with Suhaila Salimpour (3 CECs / 1 hr)

Suhaila Salimpour herself offers private coaching sessions over video chat!

Work with Suhaila on your technique and performance skills, even public speaking, non-verbal communication, building your business, personal branding, and so much more. You’ll benefit from her lifetime of experience, helping you set goals, overcome fear, and uncover your potential.

To get you started, book your free 15-minute consultation with Suhaila today.

1 hour of coaching with Suhaila earns you 3 CECs.

3. Private lessons with Level 5 instructors (2 CECs / 1 hr)

One of the easiest, and fastest, ways to earn CECs is through online private lessons with our Level 5 instructors. Working one-on-one with an instructor, live or online, is the best way to get immediate feedback for your specific questions about technique or choreography. With so many video chat options available today, it’s easy to see your posture, alignment, movements, and more.

Reach out to a Level 5 instructor (scroll down to the last section) and schedule your lesson.

An hour session is worth 2 CECs.

4. 1 Year of Online Classes (5 CECs)

An easy and fast way to earn CECs is to purchase a year subscription to our online classes. You’ll get instant access to hundreds of belly dance and other movement classes with Suhaila, school instructors, and master classes by guest instructors.

In order to earn these CECs, you’ll need to purchase a full year, not just be subscribed for a year through other monthly or quarterly plans.

A year of online classes is worth 5 CECs.

5. Classes and workshops with licensed instructors (CECs vary)

Many of our licensed instructors offer both in person and live online classes!

Check out our instruction page to find a licensed Salimpour School instructor near you.

CECs depend on content and length of class/workshop.
