Hayati 1984

Suhaila choreographed Hayati with her mother in 1984.  Above is Suhaila’s 1985 performance of Hayati t the San Francisco Ethnic Dance Festival (EDF).  Suhaila was the first belly dancer to perform at the EDF in 1983 with her Joumana choreography when she was 16; and she performed Maharjan at the EDF in 1984.  Suhaila graduated high school just before this 1985 performance.
