Online Course Certification Exam Fees

After the student has “passed” a completed test preparation course, they may register for the Fundamentals, Foundations, and Intermediate online course exam. Each exam includes an online written portion and a one-hour video recording of technique drills for evaluation. More information about the online course exams is available on the main website under Certification.

Performance Course Certification Exam Fees

To certify at the Performance level, students are required to complete four separate performances that take the place of written exams. The planning and preparation for each performance exam is completed by the student in the choreography and recital preparation courses. After the student has “passed” a completed preparation course, the student will then perform and film their performance exam. To complete each exam, students must submit video recordings of their performance for evaluation. Video recordings of the performance exams are the intellectual property of Suhaila Salimpour, and are subject to licensing as stated in the Salimpour School Terms of Use: https://salimpourschool.com/educate/terms-of-use/ . Video recordings cannot be posted anywhere online without express permission.

Salimpour Licensing Course Certification Exam Fees

Salimpour Licensing 1

The Salimpour Licensing 1 short course is the project-based exam for Licensing 1. At the end of the exam, you must receive a “pass” determination on each exam portion to receive Salimpour Licensing 1, which allows you to teach Fundamentals 1 (S1) and Foundations 1 (S2), and provide CECs for local classes by paying a fee for a specified period of time.  In this course, you demonstrate your ability to teach content from Fundamentals 1 (S1) and Foundations 1 (S2) by submitting assignments online for evaluation.  Successful completion (a “pass” determination on all projects) of this course is required for Salimpour Licensing 1.

To take the Salimpour Licensing 1 course, students must have:

  • Current Teacher 1 Certification (S5).
  • Current Intermediate 3 Certification (J3).
  • Formal approval from Suhaila.
  • Other items as noted in the Salimpour Institute page.

Salimpour Licensing 2

The Salimpour Licensing 2 short course is the project-based exam for Licensing 2. At the end of the exam, you must receive a “pass” determination on each exam portion to receive Salimpour Licensing 2, which allows you to teach Fundamentals 2 (J1) and Foundations 2 (J2), and provide CECs for local classes by paying a fee for a specified period of time.  In this course, you demonstrate your ability to teach content from Fundamentals 2 (J1) and Foundations 2 (J2) by submitting assignments online for evaluation.  Successful completion (a “pass” determination on all projects) of this course is required for Salimpour Licensing 2.

To take the Salimpour Licensing 2 course, students must have:

  • Current Teacher 1 Certification (S5).
  • Current Teacher 1 Licensing.
  • Current Teacher 2 Certification (J5).
  • Formal approval from Suhaila.
  • Other items as noted in the Salimpour Institute page.

Certification exam testing fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.
